About

About Me! Departmentart.co.uk is an interactive resource showcasing our learners personal and critical responses to Artist and Designers work. Departmentart.co.uk is made up of a creative collective that all teach in an inner-city London comprehensive school. We have designed and deliver a curriculum (Key Stage 3 -5) that promotes Creativity, Experimentation, Exploration, Risk taking and Independent Learning. Our portal is available to all learners globally and we welcome feedback, contributions and networking opportunities from creative partnerships.

The puppet project we deliver in Key Stage 3 develops our learners understanding of Portraiture, Distortion, Caricature, Scale, 3D Construction and Modelling techniques. We use the completed puppets to develop story telling skills and performances that cover whole school themes e.g. Anti-bullying and School Code of Conduct. We also use them to muck about and simply entertain!
