Jim Dine

Jim Dine is a stalwart of the ‘pop art’ aesthetic by incorporating everyday readymade objects in his work. For the robe series Dine investigated the robe through a wide variety of fine art techniques and media.

Kate Talbot

Kate Talbot has taken the pop art aesthetic of popular consumerism and reinvigorated it using textile techniques such as Appliqué and Stitch. She is a welcome addition to the growing list of artists for our Food and Drink/Supersized project such as Claes Oldenburg, Ralph Goings, Andy Warhol and Martin Parr.

Piet Mondrian

Piet Mondrian is widely known for his numerous gridded compositions using the primary colours Red, Yellow and Blue. Mondrian’s career was consumed with the pursuit of  mathematical and artistic compositional combinations to acheive an aesthetic nirvana. Resulting in one of his final compositions the Jazz inpsired Broadway Boogie-Woogie.
