D*Face

D*Face is a street artist who has expanded his trademark D*Dog character into Sculpture, Print, Graphical, Poster and Aerosol compositions. His work is heavily influenced by New York Street Art, Pop Art and Consumerism which include humour and social commentary.

Blek Le Rat

Blek Le Rat began stenciling in Paris in the early 1980’s and has influenced advertising, street art and graphical art and design. His works range from small stencils to full size figure paste ups, influenced by classical/historical icons to political commentary on war. His most famous protégé is Banksy who has developed the Blek Le Rat blueprint to worldwide fame.

Consumerism in Art

Since the Pop Art movement consumerism and branded products have been investigated and influenced the work of artists. Company’s such as Absolut and Becks have recruited popular artists to promote and temporary rebrand their products with their own brand of art to increase sales.
