TUMBLR: Digital Sketchbook
Art, Digital Sketchbook, KS5, Showcase, ThemesThe sketchbook and portfolio have been constant pillars of Art, Craft and Design Education. However, with the Nintendo and iPod generations now ‘digital natives’ on image manipulation software, social networking sites and image hosting sites such as Photoshop, Flickr and Tumblr. The ‘digital sketchbook‘ has never been easier and more immediate. This project brief and subsequent research, promotes visual and creative networking within our KS5 learners, consolidates the idea and use of digital sketchbooks whilst establishing discussion through Tumblr lesson stimuli.

Departmentart.co.uk is an interactive resource showcasing our learners personal and critical responses to Artist and Designers work.
Departmentart.co.uk is made up of a creative collective that all teach in an inner-city London comprehensive school. We have designed and deliver a curriculum (Key Stage 3 -5) that promotes Creativity, Experimentation, Exploration, Risk taking and Independent Learning.
Our portal is available to all learners globally and we welcome feedback, contributions and networking opportunities from creative partnerships.
