A-Z, Art, Stitch, ThemesMaurizio Anzeri creates embroidered or sculptured photographs using symmography. The visual narratives are selected from vintage photographs found in secondhand markets and rather than wrapping thread around pins Maurizio Anzeri penetrates the photograph with thread. The needle work creates creative costumes for the sitter, evoke a psychological aura or express emotion of feeling through his textiles doodles.
