Colin Chillag
A-Z, Art, KS5, PaintingColin Chillag is a painter who produces photo realist portraits developed from a minimal linear drawing. These portraits are realised through unbelievable brushwork. However these portraits also show the scar of this artistic toil with the portraits co-existing with the paint palette that created them. To deface these portraits during their creation is a wonderfully brutal act: promoting dialogue on the psyche of the artist, their environment and the stream of consciousness of the artist.
