Appliqué, Art, KS5, Mixed Media, ThemesOur latest brief for the Level 3 BTEC/GCE course, learners investigate the Psychology behind the creative process studying and responding to the work of contemporary artists ranging Colin Chillag, Anzeri Maurizio to Dan Mountford. As part of their creative investigations learners looked at pure, uncontrolable emotion such as rage or anger and were challenged to create an orginal piece of work , selecting materials and processes that best communicate this.

Departmentart.co.uk is made up of a creative collective that all teach in an inner-city London comprehensive school. We have designed and deliver a curriculum (Key Stage 3 -5) that promotes Creativity, Experimentation, Exploration, Risk taking and Independent Learning.
Our portal is available to all learners globally and we welcome feedback, contributions and networking opportunities from creative partnerships.
