John Stezaker works with ready made iconography that have been influenced by surrealism to create striking juxtapositions between the figure/portrait, landscape and topography. His collage based compositions suggest a deeper, psychological narrative towards the viewer and hidden unexplored aspect behind the character.

Departmentart.co.uk is an interactive resource showcasing our learners personal and critical responses to Artist and Designers work. Departmentart.co.uk is made up of a creative collective that all teach in an inner-city London comprehensive school. We have designed and deliver a curriculum (Key Stage 3 -5) that promotes Creativity, Experimentation, Exploration, Risk taking and Independent Learning.
