Charlotte Caron is a french painter and illustrator who has created a series of portraits that investigate the animalistic persona that make up the human psyche. Caron marries the mediums of photography and fine art through her use of the classical pose to build these zoological projections upon, revealing characteristics hidden behind our everyday mask.
“Everyone wears a mask in society with friends or at work. That was my starting point. But how to show it? Two mediums were used: the painting and photography which allowed me to compare two worlds and to create this duality.” Charlotte Caron
